A Rustic Yorkshire wedding Venue with Wildflower Magic

Wold View Farm’s signature wildflower backdrop was in full bloom, offering a burst of colour and a wonderfully whimsical backdrop.  Sarah spent the morning getting ready with her girls in the beautifully presented onsite bridal prep area which has a terrace looking out over the wildflower field.  We also headed back to the wild flowers later in the day for the bride and groom portraits. Sarah & Dan took a quiet stroll through the field just after their wedding ceremony – the soft and muted afternoon light made for some truly romantic and relaxed wedding photographs. It’s these little moments, when it is just the couple together that often result in the most beautiful, natural wedding photographs and a great time for couples to take in the magic of their wedding fay and enjoy the moment, just them together.

The Celebration

Sarah & Dans wedding day was filled with love and lots of happy tears. The wedding ceremony was held in the barn – dressed simply but elegantly with flowing fabrics and soft pastel florals that complemented the wild surroundings. The drinks reception followed in the gardens, where personal touches from the bride and groom created a warm, laid-back party atmosphere, with live singer Glen Roughead providing the party vibes.  The wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the bright airy barn which had been perfected by the Yorkshire wedding venue stylist. The muted tones they had chosen for their wedding day created a soft delicate backdrop for their wedding photographs. 

Guests enjoyed cocktails and outdoor games on the lawn and were treated to a cute little vintage wedding ice cream van between afternoon and evening celebrations. 

Evening Portraits with Smoke Bombs

As the sun started to set in the distance, the bride and groom surprised their bridal party with a fun twist – smoke bombs for some epic evening wedding portraits. Set against the backdrop of the wildflower field and that soft golden hour light, the images captured were nothing short of magical. The smoke blended with the landscape, creating a dreamy, almost cinematic effect. This created unique wedding photographs. 

Photographing this Wold View Farm wedding was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The setting, the details, and most importantly, the people, all came together to create a truly memorable day.
